DJ Ziya Ertekin is the acclaimed collector of 78 rpm discs, better known as Blue Flamingo. With his installation, which he compiled himself, he shares his extensive collecton with his audience. In 2010, he released compilation album Congo Jazz, on which he takes his listeners on a musical journey via the hot jazz jungle exotica from the 20s and 30s, the Congolese rumba and 30s gospel music. Much of the tunes on the cd were previously unreleased or forgotten about, but Blue Flamingo brings them back to life in his special way.
