The show of singer and bandleader
Issac Delgado is bound to be a seething and steaming affair. The Havana based singer has a reputation of going straight to the heart of the audience, because he exactly knows their lives and feelings. Why? Because he lives, as they say, a simple life among the common people. The popular Cuban crooner sonero belongs to the generation of Cuban musicians that emerged at the beginning of the nineties. Delgado, who used to be a gym teacher, started his career in the eighties in cabaret and after that he got to know the ropes of rumba and salsa in the NG La Banda Orchestra. Since 1992 he has been a solo artist who released many albums, a/o with Gonzalo Rubalcaba as an arranger. Because his music has become a bit more commercial, Delgado’s popularity has increased enormously.
