Expression and existential curiosity were the key principles for the music of singer-songwriter/producer Iniko when starting out. The genderless Brooklyn artist uses their divine singing voice, the musicality of being a multi-instrumentalist, and an adventurous imagination to address fear, break-ups, and other social issues with quirkiness and compassion. This approach has resulted in the creation of a unique cosmic sound, born out of the love of trap, rock, dancehall and soul, which over four million followers on TikTok worldwide have embraced, as well as ushering in an alternative soul revolution. Iniko considers their songs, such as the energetic The King's Affirmation (2022) and the rebellious Jerichoals (2023) as a mirror for the rest of the world. Or as they put it themselves: "My new music’s not just about who I am. It’s about who we all are, and who we would like to be."
