The Voices of Creation is a Los Angeles-based choir led by vocalist, songwriter, arranger and producer Jimetta Rose. The idea for the choir, which comprises vocalists from different generations, came about when choir leader Rose was going through a difficult spell in her private life, and worked through it by way of writing songs that dealt with her pain. She soon noticed that singing had a healing effect on her, and figured this could be beneficial for other people too, so she put out a call on social media to try to enlist members for a choir. It was met with a pretty large response, and the ever-expanding singing collective has been active ever since. Early members include Novena Carmel, the daughter of Sly Stone, who is best known in the US as a radio DJ. In 2022, the choir released an album, How Good It Is, which was produced by Mario Caldato and his wife Samantha, who previously worked with The Beastie Boys.
