Versatile Shai Maestro is one of the most talented and respected pianists of the emerging generation of jazz musicians. Since his debut album Shai Maestro Trio, it has been raining rave reviews and he has played at the biggest jazz festivals and the world’s leading jazz clubs. In his playing, Maestro effortlessly connects different musical traditions, polyrhythmic patterns and irregular time signatures. Before the release of his debut, Maestro played in the trio of bassist Avishai Cohen, where he also made a clear mark on the compositions. This year he is collaborating with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw (JOC), one of the most celebrated big bands in Europe. The orchestra has won several Edison Awards and performed with such greats as Chick Corea and Joshua Redman. Led by big-band titan Jim McNeely, Shai Maestro & JOC are ready to give a dynamic performance.
