Seville-born Vicente Amigo is one of the world’s best and most beloved flamenco guitarists. His compositions contain a fathomless beauty and unparalleled depth. Amigo featured on Manolo Sanlucar's 1988 masterpiece Tauromagia, one of the most important flamenco albums of all time. That same year, he launched his solo career, accompanying singer El Pele (Manuel Moreno Maya), with whom he recorded the album Poeta De Esquinas Blandas. In 2002, Amigo wrote the title song for Pedro Almodóvar’s hit film Hable Con Ella. In addition to several prestigious flamenco awards, he is also a two-time Latin Grammy winner. What’s more, he has collaborated with such greats as Paco de Lucia, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and Sting. At the festival, the Andalusian stellar guitarist will be showcasing brand-new work from his upcoming album, to be released later this year, as well as taking visitors through familiar pieces from his illustrious career.
