Innovative composer and percussionist Manu Delago has made an impact over the past two decades with his multi-faceted projects and collaborations. The Austrian musician plays the handpan, an originally Swiss instrument that you play with your fingers and which is reminiscent of a steel drum. Delago has frequently collaborated with Björk, The Cinematic Orchestra and Indian sitar player Anoushka Shankar. He has also performed as a soloist with the Metropole Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra. Delago has released more than a dozen albums since 2006. On his latest release Snow From Yesterday, he teams up with the vocal ensemble Mad About Lemon. It is a fluid, versatile and powerful record on which Delago sets the rhythm with his virtuosity and creates a stately atmosphere of emotion and tender subtlety. Mad About Lemon completes it all with their interwoven vocal harmonies. A dynamic and startling combination.
