With her warm-timbred soulful voice, 22-year-old Swan is a unique newcomer within the Dutch alternative soul/R&B scene. As a young girl, she would listen to the songs of Amy Winehouse and Beyoncé, and was already writing lyrics and songs by her teens. Swan stands out through her honest, yet poetic songs, beautiful harmonies and groovy production. Throughout the writing process, the storylines and visuals are strongly interconnected. Swan creates a world that extends beyond the mere musical experience. In 2024, her Perquisite-produced debut EP Underneath My Facade was released, where the singer is searching for the balance between self-love and loving others, inviting listeners to view vulnerability as a strength. Previously, Swan appeared as the support act for the legendary soul singer Gladys Knight in the iconic Carré theatre, and presented her EP in the music temple Paradiso, and now we’re pleased to announce her for NN North Sea Jazz.
