Originating from every corner of Europe as they do, the members of Roseye somehow all ended up meeting each other in Amsterdam. These five talented musicians collectively connected over a consolidated groove. The soulful voice of Scottish singer Tallulah Rose, who also plays saxophone, really captures the imagination, and is solidly backed by a band that effortlessly bends genres to its will. Soul, jazz, hip-hop, R&B and electronic music are all ingredients that are fed into their music to create an elegant, at times dreamy mix. The group is engaged in experimental soul, akin to music by Hiatus Kaiyote and Sampha for instance, but because of the diverse backgrounds of the band members, Roseye has a particularly distinct sound. The musicians draw their influences from styles from all corners of the globe. On their debut album Every Move, they explore themes such as sexuality, spirituality and mourning. The groove is paramount, as is the high-voltage energy level on stage.
