Since Anouk broke through in 1997 with Nobody’s Wife, she has brought large crowds to their feet countless times at pop festivals and mega concert venues. This summer she is performing at the festival for the first time. With her outstanding voice, the singer from The Hague can sing basically anything: power rock like RU Kidding Me, but also fragile songs like Lost and Michel. In her more than 25 years at the top of the Dutch music scene, she has experimented with soul, hip-hop and the Dutch “levenslied” (literally song of life). In 2013, Anouk surprised friend and foe alike by representing the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest with the tender song Birds. Her latest album, 2023’s Deena & Jim, is yet another new departure. It is an ode to the epic film scores of Hollywood and features orchestral arrangements. At the festival, she is playing with the world famous Dutch Metropole Orkest.
