Fiasco is a Rotterdam-based New Age Jazz trio consisting of Hugo Kurstjens (bass), Jasper Sabbe (drums) and Jasper Fleischmann (piano). Their music searches for the borders in modern-day jazz music by dismissing traditional standards. Odd time signatures and bass melodies are only a tip of the iceberg of the unconventional playing by this dynamic trio. This year, Simon Beets is joining them on the trumpet, adding a traditional sound to their untraditional pieces.
