Born with a thirst for music of both past and present, Sonny Daze’s journey in music began in his hometown Chicago with his mother’s record collection. As a child, he’d play songs from Earth, Wind & Fire, The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, De La Soul, and many more. He has been spinning records since 2000, building a name for himself with DJ sets alongside legends like Andre Hatchett, Questlove, Gilles Peterson, and Afrika Bambaataa. With his sets, he aims to make his audience forget their woes for a moment and just dance!
