London’s singer-songwriter RAYE made music history at this year's BRIT Awards, winning no less than six awards with her incredible debut album My 21st Century Blues (2023); something no new other artist has ever managed before. The praise for the 26-year-old Brit is more than deserved, as her compelling and personal songs, with an added layer of societal critique, are not only among the most streamed in the world, but she also lends her lyrical expertise to pop stars such as John Legend, Ellie Goulding and Beyoncé. Last year, the charismatic diva stole the hearts of the Lowlands audience by blowing everyone away with her incredible vocals (despite a heavy back ailment restricting her to remain seated) and even leaving some in tears. Accompanied by her excellent band, RAYE will once again effortlessly enchant her audience during the festival with a mix of R&B, soul pop and electronic sounds, and take them on a journey through her fascinating – and sometimes confrontational – world of thought.
