Vibrant London is a place where urban jazz flourishes, propelled by a generation of super talents. One of the young virtuosos who blossomed in this inspiring environment is multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Mansur Brown. A classically trained guitarist with exquisite technique, he plays primarily from the heart and with feeling, effortlessly blending styles and genres. The Brit first shone on the duo Yussef Kammaal’s acclaimed album Black Focus (2016), followed not long after by his own debut album Shiroi (2018). With his unique flamenco-influenced guitar sound, Brown takes you on a trip full of jazz rock wrapped in R&B, hip-hop, Afrobeat, trap and futuristic ambient. In 2021 he released his second album Heiwa on his own Amai label. On that emotive album, Brown pushes musical boundaries – just as he does on stage – by putting feeling and innovative freedom above all else. This year, he released its successor Desta - The Memories Between.
