When the album Romantic Warrior was released in 1976, it was a resounding success, selling no less than half a million copies. It was a very rewarding outcome for the group Return To Forever, which, in addition to bassist Stanley Clarke (1951), featured legends such as pianist Chick Corea, guitarist Al Di Meola and drummer Lenny White. The outfit then opted for a more avant-garde and less funky approach, which made its subsequent success even more remarkable. Clarke has now assembled a young band to revive the popular album under the title N'4Ever. For this adventure, he created contemporary and stimulating arrangements for the selected tracks, and did the same with some successful pieces from other albums. The young guns on this tour are no novices: saxophonist Emilio Modeste plays in the style of the great Wayne Shorter, while guitarist Colin Cook works with other greats as well, and drummer Jeremiah Collier gained his experience over in Southside, Chicago.
