Sometimes a spontaneous collaboration between two artists leaves them wanting more – much more in the case of DeWolff & Dawn Brothers. Following their fruitful collaboration for the single Too Many Colors In The Sun, frontmen Pablo van der Poel and Bas van Holt decided to co-write an album with one another, in the spirit of vintage soul and rhythm & blues artists such as Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and Ray Charles. It was created as an ode to the musical gods who caused hips to sway all over the world, and who laid the foundation for almost all the music that inspired both bands. With the album Double Cream (2022), recorded live in the studio, their mission has definitely succeeded – and then some. Another bridge across time was built, with the era of choice now the sultry 1960s. The fun they had making the album oozes from every track on the record, and that's just a sampler of what this inspiring collaboration sounds like in a live setting.
