Besides the contenders, often singing gospel for the very first time, the biggest revelation in the recent Dutch TV show Amazing Grace was ZO! Gospel Choir. It’s really no wonder they grew into the most sought-after choir in The Netherlands in a short time, as the ensemble is composed out of the best singing talent that the country has to offer. The choir was founded in 2010 in the Bijlmermeer, the South East part of Amsterdam and their repertoire ranges from powerful uplifting black gospel to subdued soulful songs and other popular genres like jazz, classical, R&B, and pop. This multi-ethnic ensemble is under the inspiring musical leadership of Shirma Rouse and Berget Lewis, two of Holland’s most renowned singers.
