Aviv Noam is a saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist from Israel. For several years now, he has been based in Amsterdam. While there, Noam launched several projects and has made a name for himself with his own group, the Aviv Noam Quartet. The band’s basis is groove and melody; the musicians use various unexpected elements like organized chaos, humor and intensive communication. In 2020, the group won the Dutch Jazz Competition and played at several well-known jazz venues such as the Bimhuis. They also took to the stage at the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam and Mas i Mas festival, among others. Early last year, the debut album This Is In Everything We Do was released. The band consists of musicians from various European countries, with common roots in the music of Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy, Ornette Coleman, and others.
