Composer and musician Mitchel van Dinther, better known as Jameszoo, initially made his name as a DJ before gaining international fame as a musician. His compositions are balanced on the razor's edge between precision and madness. In Jameszoo's universe you can hear avant-garde, jazz, prog rock, krautrock, and a teasing cacophony of sounds. Colorful and progressive, but also chaotic and bizarre. Electronic and hip hop producer Flying Lotus picked up Jameszoo's music and became so enthusiastic that he signed him to his Brainfeeder label on which the albums Fool and Melkweg were released. Jameszoo recorded the latter with the Metropole Orkest conducted by Jules Buckley. Jameszoo's third album, Blind, is now a fact. According to music magazine OOR, it's “a real roller coaster to listen to.” To translate this latest work into a live show, Jameszoo Blind Group is performing at a select number of venues, including NN North Sea Jazz.
