Although he is one of Holland’s best-known radio DJs, as well as a popular tv presenter, one of Gerard Ekdom’s favorite gigs of the year is his DJ set at NN North Sea Jazz. For the ninth time already he will turn Ahoy’s roof into a steaming, swinging soul and funk party with his Ekdom's Funky Music Trip. Expect new discoveries, old forgotten soul, dirty funk, nu-soul, acid jazz, and sometimes regular retro dance classics. He will play them all - as long as it’s funky!
