Chick Corea, Al DiMeola and Juan Luis Guerra are just three of the icons who regularly call on the services of jazz pianist and composer Gonzalo Rubalcaba. The multiple Grammy winner was still living in Cuba when the legendary Dizzy Gillespie discovered him. Then the U.S. and Europe got to know him too and he also started recording with Blue Note Records. Aymée Nuviola has also won several Grammy Awards. The singer, pianist and actress knows no boundaries in her music making: she goes from jazz to classical and from bossa nova to bolero; her sound is endlessly diverse. Together with Rubalcaba, Nuviona was nominated for a Grammy in 2020 for the album Viento Y Tiempo - Live At Blue Note Tokyo. This year, she again received a Grammy nomination, this time for her album Sin Salsa No Hay Paraíso. At NN North Sea Jazz Gonzalo Rubalcaba & Aymée Nuviola’s Band will surely get everyone dancing to tropical sounds.
