BadBadNotGood is not easy to pin down. The Canadian group has released five successful albums since it was formed twelve years ago. Their most recent album, Talk Memory, was released in October last year and clearly shows a new direction. It’s part of the innovative way in which these guys makes music. It was with good reason that hip hop superstars such as Ghostface Killah, Kendrick Lamarr and Tyler, the Creator asked to work with them. The group was immediately widely picked up in 2011, following the release of their debut album BBNG. On that album, they interpreted modern jazz in a completely unique way. In the years that followed, BadBadNotGood remained active with their own songs, but also with idiosyncratic covers of songs by My Bloody Valentine, Kanye West and James Blake, among others.
