Nine years ago, nine friends came together and out of their shared passion for jazz and Afrobeat, Jungle by Night was born. These past years, they have performed all over the world, from Tokyo to Montreal and European capitals as well. Their friendship has remained as close as ever, but playing together they have become closer still: sensual horn players are beautifully complemented by a tight rhythm section. On top of that come a whole lot of interesting sounds (the jungle by night, perhaps), without ever endangering the music’s danceability. Between extensive tours, the band has also found time to record albums. This past autumn they released Livingstone on the famous Rush Hour label. At the very start of their career, Jungle by Night already played at North Sea Jazz, followed by another performance in 2016. It has been a party every time!
