Melbourne is a vibrant music city where the bars and clubs never close and time seems to stand still at night. The ideal birthplace for The Teskey Brothers, with their timeless mix of Stax Records soul and raw blues. If you close your eyes, you’re back in America’s Deep South in the late sixties when soul, blues, and rock were brought together by daring crossover-bands like the Allman Brothers Band. The latter - coincidentally or not - were also led by two brothers. In The Teskey Brothers, guitarist Sam and singer Josh Teskey are the band’s creative heart. In particular, Josh’s gravelly whisky-drenched voice draws a lot of attention and he has already been compared to Otis Redding. In 2017, the core quartet, completed by childhood friends Brendon Love (bass) and Liam Gough (drums) released one of the most exciting Australian debut albums of recent years: Half Mile Harvest.
