Michael van Dam, better known as DJ Mickster, has been spinning records in Amsterdam venues De Melkweg and Paradiso for years at shows by both big artists and up-and-coming stars. In addition to being known for his long-term club concepts such as Jiggy (Bitterzoet), Lik (Air Amsterdam), and Vibe (Chicago Social Club), he is also part of Fiesta Macumba, a formula for exotic dance parties. Growing up in a household filled with music, Mick taught himself how to DJ and researched varied genres including hip-hop, R&B, funk, soul, disco, and latin.
