The American band Moonchild is one of the leaders of the current neo-soul generation. With their alternative R&B, multi-instrumentalists Amber Navran, Max Bryk, and Andris Mattson stole the hearts of both pop and jazz music lovers. The trio has worked with great names like Kamasi Washington, Jill Scott, and India.Arie and was the opening act for Stevie Wonder. The three met at the University of Southern California in LA and they have released three beautiful albums: Be Free (2012), Please Rewind (2015), and Voyager (2017). On stage their act is enthralling and memorable. Moonchild perform sweet compositions with crafty hooks and flexible melodies, colored by Navran’s dreamy voice. Lovers of laidback, funky, challenging and soulful R&B with a twist will do well not to miss these musical artists at the North Sea Jazz Festival.
