Guitarist Jerôme Hol is often seen as a cross between Jimi Hendrix and John Coltrane. He has developed his own sound in which a powerful heavy-rock sound is combined with the warmth of blues and the harmonic subtleties of jazz. After graduating from the Rotterdam conservatory, Hol studied in New York with guitar heroes like Hiram Bullock and Wayne Krantz. In the Netherlands he has been a member of Hans Dulfers’ band for many years. Hol has also shared the stage with Billy Cobham, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Michiel Borstlap. About Hol’s latest album, the authoritative Dutch magazine Gitarist wrote: ‘With Sneak Peek, Jerôme Hol has delivered a wonderful album that is interesting for those who like a challenge, and yet so musical that you don’t need to be a musician to enjoy it.’
