One hundred years of jazz celebrated by an all-star American lineup. This musical journey is presented by a 10-piece ensemble that is worthy of the challenge. Logical when you look at the names: Jazz The Story is performed by saxophonist Vincent Herring, trumpeter Jon Faddis, saxophonist James Carter, trombonist Steve Turré and other big names such as Eric Alexander, Jeremy Pelt, Mike LeDonne, Gary Fisher, David Williams, and Carl Allen. During this multimedia show the American ensemble takes the audience back to 1917, the year the Original Dixieland Jazz Band recorded the first ever jazz album in New Orleans. It marks the beginning of the audience's journey past the blues, ragtime, swing, bebop, and cool right up to the jazz of today. The focal point is the fifties – the time when musicians like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Art Blakey made their mark. The ensemble is supported by vocalist and narrator Nicholas Bearde.
