Right now, there probably isn't a jazz vocalist around with more virtuosity and versatility than Dianne Reeves. She can scat with the best of them but also make a sensitive ballad completely her own. Once hailed as a worthy successor to singers like Dinah Washington and Carmen McCrae, today Reeves has her own unique style that moves effortlessly between different genres. She has already won four Grammys, the last one for the album Beautiful Life (2015) produced by Terri Lyne Carrington. On that recording Gregory Porter, Robert Glasper, Lalah Hathaway, and Esperanza Spalding also participated. Reeves has appeared at North Sea Jazz several times, most recently in 2015.
