The Imagine Project dates back to 2010. Hancock will be accompanied by several stars of contemporary jazz: sensational saxophonist-keyboardist Terrace Martin, guitarist Lionel Loueke, bassist James Genus and drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, all of whom play on the new album. Hancock has had a truly tremendous career in which he was a member of Miles Davis' band, leader of the groundbreaking group Headhunters and producer of jazz hits like
Rockit. Hancock is a frequent and valued guest at North Sea Jazz; his last performance was in 2015, with fellow legend Chick Corea
