William Bell is one of the most of the most important soul singers alive today. With his captivating voice, the 76-year-old singer still has a huge impact. Bell has now returned to the place where it all began: Stax Records. He was one of the first artists on the legendary soul label known for the classic songs of Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and Isaac Hayes. Bell’s success was instant with the hit You Don’t Miss Your Water (Until Your Well Runs Dry). His career - as a singer, writer and producer - is proof of his versatility. His songs have been recorded and sampled by a variety of artists ranging from Linda Ronstadt and Rod Stewart to Kanye West. His most famous song is undoubtedly Born Under A Bad Sign which he co-wrote with Booker T. Jones and which Albert King and Cream immortalized in successful covers. This summer Bell’s latest album This Is Where I Live will be released.
