Avery*Sunshine is known for her compelling and honest lyrics about radiantly optimistic themes that she enfolds in an energetic live show. Call it music for the soul. Born as Denise Nicole White, the American artist learned to play the piano as an eight-year-old and conducted the local church choir a mere five years later. This is where she further honed her vocal capacities. Avery*Sunshine developed in various directions. She performed on Broadway, was one of the backing vocalists for Michael Bublé, sang at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009 and was choir conductor in the theatre production of Dreamgirls. In 2010 she released her self-titled debut, followed by the much-praised The SunRoom. With her playful mix of gospel, jazz, R&B and soul, a disarming smile and that phenomenal warm voice with perfect pitch, Avery*Sunshine is able to win over every crowd. A feast for all senses, but mostly for the soul.
