Jessie Ware is crazy about literature. After graduating with a degree in English from the University of Sussex, she worked as a reporter for The Jewish Chronicle and the Daily Mirror, among others. In the meantime, Ware was singing backing vocals for singer Jack Peñate. She finally decided to focus on music and the result was her 2011 debut album Devotion. The album was hugely popular. The critics were unanimously positive and words like ‘soulful’, ‘sensual’ and ‘sophisticated pop with a brain’ were everywhere. For her follow-up album Tough Love, which was released last year, Ware called on the help of Ed Sheeran, Benny Bianco and Mumford & Sons producer James Ford. The makers of the movie Fifty Shades Of Grey decided to use her song Meet Me In The Middle. Her exotic looks, slightly drawling, warm voice and beautiful songs make Ware stand out from the crowd.
