Giel Beelen is one of the most talked-about radio jocks of the Netherlands. He is the host of NPO 3FM morning show GIEL en Radio 6’s GielJazz. On television he is the presenter of music program De Beste Singer-Songwriter Van Nederland and a regular sideman in popular talkshow DWDD. Beelen aims at more contemporary styles. In 2011, he released his first compilation album entitled GielJazz. For his radiowork, he received numerous prestigious awards.
