Keyboard player and composer Jeff Lorber is an established name in the world of fusion jazz. Since the 1970s the American has made albums that have greatly influenced modern electrically amplified jazz music. In 1982 he made his break-through with his band Jeff Lorber Fusion and the album It’s A Fact. With his innovative and experimental playing this former student of the Berklee College of Music keeps up with the times. His latest album Hacienda was nominated for a Grammy Award. He will bring a special lineup to Rotterdam: besides Yellowjackets’ bassist Jimmy Haslip, they are drummer Lionel Cordew, the famous saxophonist Eric Marienthal and guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. The latter is a much sought-after session artist who has played with legends of jazz (Marcus Miller, Al Jarreau) and several pop music idols (Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston).
