Two years ago, singer-songwriter
Judy Blank was still working as a waitress and only dreaming of the career that she has since built - and is still building - at high speed. With her talent for writing narrative ‘alternative pop songs’, raw voice and piano playing she was noticed when she competed on the Dutch TV show
De Beste Singer-Songwriter Van Nederland ('Holland’s Best Singer-Songwriter'). After winning one week’s contest on that show, she also had the opportunity to give a mini-performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival during DJ Jaap Brienen’s set last year. She was seen by none other than Seasick Steve who invited her to the largest stage, Nile, to sing a personal serenade during his show. Judy has already been a supporting act for artists like Maria Mena and James Walsh. Her debut album
When The Storm Hits is scheduled for release this summer.
