DJ Maestro, real name Martijn Barkhuis, became enthralled with turning tables, mixer, headphones and vinyl as a teenager. In the past few years, he regularly performed in Asia, Australia, Africa and most European capital cities. Recently, he signed a new worldwide contract with New York record label Bethlehem Records. The first release is expected later this year. Maestro is well-known for his platinum awarded compilation series Blue Note Trip. He released several other albums as well.
