The saxophonist will do so in collaboration with the Metropole Orkest conducted by Vince Mendoza. Lovano is considered one of the best saxophonists of the world and is a regular guest at the festival. Up until now, he released about 25 albums and received a prestigious Grammy Award. Besides as a solo artist, Lovano also often works with his quintet US Five, with which he made his two most recent albums: 2011's Bird Songs and Cross Culture, which was released at the beginning of this year.
