About
The To Be Continued Brass Band, in short: TBC Brass Band, hails from the Mecca of brass music: the American city of New Orleans. In 2002 this group of young men from developing neighborhoods came together to escape from a life filled with drugs and violence that many of their peers have to face. That the group plays festivals like North Sea Jazz nowadays is a feat they worked hard for in those early years. The orchestra used to play at the same spot in the city, becoming more and more successful. But in 2005 Hurricane Katrina put spikes in the wheel in a terrible way. Only after months of absence did the band members who had fled return to their city and their band. And a very successful return it was. These days the TBC Brass Band, risen from the flood, is one of the most sought-after groups from the city.
