The Metropole Orkest performing with guest vocalists is becoming something of a popular tradition at the North Sea Jazz Festival. Over the years, Holland's best-known orchestral ensemble has appeared on stage with the likes of Al Jarreau, Jonathan Jeremiah, Kurt Elling, Elvis Costello and Chaka Khan. This year, conducted by guest conductor-arranger Jules Buckley, they will be pulling out all the stops with no fewer than three top-class artists: soul star Gregory Porter, R&B ace Anthony Hamilton and charming jazz singer Gretchen Parlato will be bringing the best of the American music scene to the North Sea Jazz Festival. This spectacular show, a one-time collaboration between one of the world's best orchestras and three unique icons in their fields, is absolutely not to be missed!
