He is a living guitar legend: Carlos Santana (1947), with a very successful career lasting several decades. The Mexican superstar became famous in the sixties and seventies, when the band Santana pioneered with rock, salsa and jazz-fusion. The list of recordings and prizes won is sheer endless. And the guitarist is still relevant for present-day music. These last years Santana has turned his collaborations with famous artists into his trademark. In 2010 he released his latest album Guitar Heaven, a collection of classic guitar covers. He recorded AC/DC's Back in Black with rapper Nas and The Beatles' While My Guitar Gently Weeps with singer india.arie and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The sexagenarian has no intention to quit soon: "At the moment, somewhere in a garage unknown people are probably making beautiful music. I would like to welcome them, too, on a future album."
