Amos Lee is a difficult artist to characterize. The American, who was born in Philadelphia, has an eclectic style that encompasses jazz, country, folk, bluegrass and soul. This special, varied style makes him a unique phenomenon. The common thread is a form of spirituality that you seldom encounter, but that is present in every one of Lee's songs. He released his self-titled debut album in 2005 after touring with his idol Bob Dylan. In the following years his style became more elegant and profound. On his latest complete album Mission Bell, which was a huge success in the US, he was backed by members of the band Calexico. Recently, the EP As The Crow Flies was released. Earlier this year Lee gave two sell-out performances in Paradiso in Amsterdam.
