Colin Benders, also known as Kyteman, is one of the two "Carte Blanche" artists this year. Kyteman, came, saw and conquered the Dutch jazz scene. These past years, he was the most talked-about young artist, operating on the interface between jazz and pop music. Within a year he, together with his Hiphop Orchestra, went from the club circuit in provincial Utrecht to a sold-out Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. With his immense versatility, he deserves a large venue at North Sea Jazz. Today, Kyteman will present The Jam Sessions. It's a project put together especially for North Sea Jazz in which Colin Benders promises to go all out so as to give the term 'musical freedom' new meaning.
