Electric Wire Hustle are a trio from New Zealand, founded in 2007. Band members Myele Manzanza, Taay Ninh and Mara TK are familiar faces in the music scene of the capital, Wellington. But the three are building a steady following abroad as well. Often shortened to EWH, their self titled debut album was received very well by DJs in both their own part of the world and Great Britain. Last year, the group did a successful American tour, their first. Musically, the trio develop their own mix of modern hip hop, psychedelic and soul; thick drums and percussion are layered with synth lines and combined with soulful vocals.
