If there were a prize for the best album title of all time, the creation of these three men from Austria would end in the upper echelons. Besides its name, Till the Old World's Blown up and a New One is Created (Mosz, 2008) also says a lot about the way guitarist/laptop musician Christian Fennesz, drummer Martin Brandlmayr and bassist Werner Dafeldecker work. They deliberately and with pleasure demolished each other's compositions and in four-year period built it into a new composition. Modern electronics and their acoustic instruments were the tools they used. These past years, Fennesz has earned fame as a sound alchemist who forges layers of peacefully humming guitar sounds with rustling electronics, from which all sorts of wonderful melodies emerge (for those who know how to listen to it). Martin Brandlmayr is seen by the experts as one of the most innovative drummers in the world. His apparant loose style is at the same time terribly precise. Bassist Dafeldecker is the founder of the group Polwechsel. In the past he has worked with David Sylvian and Gene Coleman, among others.
