A fantastic voice, catchy songs and a disarming stage presence; Pam Feather has all it takes to become the new soul diva of the Low Countries. The Rotterdam-based singer-songwriter taught herself to play the guitar as a teenager. She soon entered several talent contests. She also performed solo in and around Rotterdam, accompanying herself on the guitar. The moment she met the producers and managers of Artistik, her career truly took off. In the mean time, Feather has collected a six-member band and released her first album, Feather Tales. A strikingly mature debut, with strong songs and a nice feel-good sound that reminds listeners of the best days of Motown, without becoming nostalgic. Because of her honest, melodious songs and natural style, you could call Feather the Dutch Alicia Keys. But you can judge for yourself, because she will make her debut at the North Sea Jazz Festival this summer.
