In her own words, singer Trijntje Oosterhuis is "more of a vocal animal than a stage animal". In recent years, she has stolen the show with several albums on which she sings the songs of Burt Bacharach, including the successful Who'll Speak for Love. She did this so well, that Bacharach himself and arranger Patrick Williams named her as their favorite interpreter. Oosterhuis started her career with her brother Tjeerd in the pop group Total Touch. After this, she developed into a phenomenal solo singer. She has worked with famous acts like Al Jarreau, Andrea Bocelli, Burt Bacharach, Marco Borsato, Herbie Hancock, Lionel Richie, Jean 'Toots' Thielemans and Bobby McFerrin. Oosterhuis has an enviable voice that she recently used to pay tribute to Michael Jackson: Never Can Say Goodbye. At the North Sea Jazz Festival, she will perform acoustic versions of songs by Michael Jackson accompanied by the excellent guitarist Leonardo Amuedo.
