Mr. Boogie Woogie can unarguably be called 'The Hardest Working Man in Boogie Land'. Virtuoso pianist Eric-Jan Overbeek alias Mr. Boogie Woogie could recently be seen on many stages and festivals at home and abroad, in quick succession. He sometimes performs several times a year in the United States. At the age of eight, Eric-Jan was captivated by the piano. When, aged fourteen, he heard Fats Domino's Swanee River Hop on the radio, he wanted just one thing: to play boogie woogie. Many years and performances later, Eric-Jan is no longer known as Eric-Jan, but simply as Mr. Boogie Woogie, and he is a celebrated guest at numerous Dutch and international blues festivals. Eric-Jan now plays with everyone who has made boogie woogie great. Les Trophées France Blues recently named him Best European Blues Pianist.
