At the end of the sixties, jazz drummer Maurice White had the revolutionary idea of forming a band that would combine all kinds of popular music. In 1970, together with his brother and bass player Verdine, he formed the ten-man band Earth Wind & Fire. After several lineup changes, in 1975 the band shot to the top. Exactly 35 years later, they have recorded twenty studio albums with famous guests like MC Hammer, Sly Stone, Angie Stone, Raphael Saadiq and many others; had countless hits and been on numerous world tours; released DVDs of live performances; built-up a rock-solid live reputation and been honored with every award conceivable. Of course they have performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival before (in 1997) and the good reviews of their 2008 concert in the GelreDome filled many with remorse about missing out! Now's your chance to catch the band led by key members Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson.
