At a young age, the now 24-year-old American left her birthplace Berks Country in Pennsylvania, along with a guitar and a fully packed backpack, to move to sprawling Los Angeles. This was the big city where
Priscilla Ahn hoped to fulfill her dream and make it as an artist. After performances in local bars and several small concerts, she was finally allowed to tour with singer-songwriterJoshua Radin, after which she was given a record contract with Blue Note. Last year, her debut album appeared:
A Good Day, a lovely folk pop album, filled with sweet songs and warm lyrics. Ahn, who carries the name of her South-Korean mother, in the mean time has performed as a support act with Willy Nelson, Jason Mraz and AmosLee. She has already played all over the world, but Ahn is visiting our country for only the second time, this time for the North Sea Jazz Festival.
